Most membership experts will tell you that it's easier and less costly to retain a member than it is to recruit one. Please take a look at these retention resources.
ARMA Renewal Communication Cycle Toolkit:
This toolkit was created to help us coordinate with the chapters during the renewal process as well as provide helpful and usable resources for you to increase your member retention rates. It includes an overview that will first give you a look at current best practices other associations are using, move on to more details about HQ’s new processes that have recently been deployed with the new plan, and finish with chapter-specific tactics and tools. We have also included sample content, a chapter action plan, and other guidance, all of which are now available to you here at Chapter Central. For a more personalized introduction to the toolkit, make sure that you view the overview presentation with narration by Senior Manager of Membership, Lia Shore.

ARMA Membership List:
Chapter membership lists are emailed to chapter leaders. We have a form for chapters to let us know how frequently they would like these lists emailed to them. Membership lists that chapters will receive are:
- Chapter Roster: Listing of who is a current member of your chapter.
- Expiring in 30 Days: Listing of your chapter members whose membership will expire in the next 30 days.
- New Chapter Members: Listing of new members who have joined your chapter in the last 30 days. Does not include members that have been added to chapter for free.
- Non-chapter Member Report: Listing of members who are a part of ARMA International but not a member of a chapter. This report is grouped geographically by state.
Using Chapter Lists
All lists provided to your chapter are protected under ARMA International’s privacy policy. They are provided to your chapter as you act on behalf of ARMA International. Your membership lists should only be shared with business partners of your chapter who are also providing services in accordance with a mutually agreed upon contract.
ARMA volunteers should not be asking chapters to provide lists to anyone outside of their business partners. All ARMA volunteers are provided with the resources necessary to complete their work. If additional resources are needed, volunteers can work with their committee chair to be provided with the necessary resources.
If your chapter has been approached to provide membership lists to those outside your contracted business partners, please let us know at armaservice@armaintl.org.
If you have any questions about membership lists, please email armaservice@armaintl.org.
