Generative AI Court Cases, Laws & Practical Implications for Information Governance

Retired U.S. Magistrate Ron Hedges will provide an analysis and evaluation of current AI-related legal cases that are highly relevant to contemporary and broader information governance interests. The cases include copyright, privacy, data protection and bias/discrimination issues.

Upon reviewing cases that are shaping the IG/RIM world, we'll discuss the practical impact on information governance operations and technology. Significant federal and state legislation are reviewed as well as best practices to aid risk mitigation, concluding with perspectives on trends and predictions.
