2 Part Presentation:

Part 1 – From Plan to Action: Practical Steps for Effective Legacy Records Destruction.

Part 2 – Managing Defensible Disposition from Drives to File Rooms

PART 1: File Destruction: This session explores a successful case study in performing a large legacy file destruction project. It explains the steps needed to gain organizational trust, reduce approval bottlenecks, and successfully present a project plan for legacy destructions.

PART 2: Data Deletion: This session explores how organizations can turn retention policies into real, defensible deletion programs. It explains how to determine what information is still needed, what has reached the end of its retention period, and how to carry out deletion across systems, drives, and legacy applications. The focus is on bridging the gap between policy and practice, with methods for classifying outdated records, documenting decisions, and establishing deletion processes that are efficient, sustainable, and manageable in everyday operations.
