ARMA Atlanta Chapter:  Emergency Planning and Response for Records

Disasters come in a variety of forms and sizes from large-scale disasters that destroy an entity's entire records holdings to small ones that can be handled by staff. All disasters can quickly become devastating records emergencies when staff is unaware of how to respond. This presentation will cover essential records, risks and hazards that threaten records, and mitigation strategies to lessen those threats. Additionally, attendees will be introduced to Records Emergency Action Plans which are created before a records emergency occurs and detail how an agency will handle its records during the emergency and complement other disaster planning documents.
