ARMA Southwestern Ontario & Toronto Chapters: SWOxTO CON 2025 | Data and Privacy in the Digital Era

ARMA SWO and ARMA Toronto Chapter are partnering to bring you an exciting data privacy event!   Join us on April 8, from 9:00-4:00 for SWOxTO CON 2025 | Data and Privacy in the Digital Era, our first multi-chapter all-day conference. Taking place in beautiful Wellington County, this conference aims to address critical challenges facing IT, IG, and RIM professionals, such as ethical data handling and effective breach response strategies.  The conference theme is the intersection of data and privacy in an age rife with digital concerns. You can visit our website for full conference details, including speaker notes, but we wanted to provide you with a small snapshot of what you can expect. The morning will consist of a keynote address from Mindful Mike, followed by our first IG/IM endeavour into the world of dark data by way of a case study brought to you by Amitabh Srivastav. You will be well fed and hydrated throughout the day as the conference includes snacks and a catered lunch. Over the course of your lunch, you can also join Archivist Karen Wagner on a tour of the Wellington County Museum and Archives. In the afternoon, Monifa Brooks will explore how privacy is essential for business success, and Dan Mathieson ends the day with a lessons learned account of the City of Stratford's cyber breach.   This conference will be an excellent way to network, grow your knowledge base, and empower you with the knowledge to make relevant and accurate decisions in your day to day work.
